About Us

Present

We’re an eclectic mix of people. Several countries are represented:

Denmark, Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovakia, Hungary, South Africa, France, Ireland, England, and Greece among many others. We’re a few more Mediterraneans short of a Risk-board.

We explore fencing from many angles. Like using odd Spanish footwork from the 1500s in Modern Fencing competitions or vice versa; applying high level strategy from Olympic Fencing to centuries old weapons. One of our instructors, Troels Christensen, has decades of Olympic Epee experience and brings that perspective to the Historical Rapier to great effect.

Victoria Chudinov, another instructor, doesn’t like garlic. She also has a suspisciously encyclopedic knowledge of several centuries of Renaissance fencing manuscripts. These two facts are supposedly unrelated.

We have hosted the International Rapier Seminar, as arranged and organized by Victoria Chudinov. It was smashing. We had 7 instructors, each doing their own workshop. It ran over 3 days with over 40 participants from many countries.

We also held a tournament at the event with competitions for several weapons and categories.

Future

Torneo di Spada 2025

We are hosting an installment of the Torneo di Spada series of events here in Copenhagen, in November 2025.

There will be both tournaments for different weapons and workshops taught there, as well as much time for free fencing and meeting new fencers who come from all around.

Now you know us a bit better. Drop by and let’s meet.
